SPRING TRAVEL BASEBALL INFORMATION
- The level of play in the Spring is more competitive than Summer Rec and Fall Ball
- Players are expected to attend every tournament
PRACTICES
- Season consists of 1-2 practices per week depending on age group (see below)
- 8u-10u season March-June
- 11u-14u season Feb-June
- February practices are not mandatory if involved in other sports or activities that conflict with practice times
- Please inform SYBS of any conflicts when registering
TOURNAMENTS/GAMES
- Tournaments are NOT every weekend like Fall Ball
- Tournaments are on selected weekends mostly in May, possibly in April; coach chosen
- Games are played on both Sat AND Sun
- Tournaments can be played in and around Denver, Ft. Morgan, Grand Junction, Canon City, etc.
Dependent on the number of players who register for each team, here is a rough idea of what each age group Spring Ball consists of:

- 8u (1 practice/week; 2 tournaments in May)
- 9u (1-2 practices/week and 2-3 tournaments)
- 10u (1-2 practices/week and 3-5 tournaments)
- 11u (2 practices/week and 3-5 tournaments)
- 12u (2 practices/week and 4-6 tournaments)
- 13/14u - HSDT (2 practices/week and 5-7 tournaments)
REGISTRATION
- Your Spring baseball age is your age on 4/30/26.
- Registration Begins January 7, 2026
- You will receive a registration email to secure your spot
- $600 non-refundable deposit at time of registration (payment plan available)
- Invoiced the balance after teams have been formed and tournaments decided.
- Scholarship applications are available upon request by contacting sybsadmin@gmail.
com - Registration ENDS at midnight on January 21, 2026.
COST
- The cost of Spring Ball is determined once we know the number of players who register per team and how many tournaments each team will play
- In past years, the total per player has been between $600-$1200
- You will be invoiced the balance in early February, once teams have been formed and tournaments have been scheduled
- Installment plans will be available
- Around $600 of each player's registration fee covers:
- Facility expenses
- TeamSnap fees
- Team Insurance
- Balls/shared equipment
- Team Ball Cap
- The invoiced balance covers each team's tournament fees
UNIFORMS
- Each player will receive a team ball cap (included in registration fee)
- SYBS Team Store link will be sent out after registration for jersey order
- Each player is required to purchase an SYBS spring team jersey
- Each player is responsible for having a pair of white and/or a pair of gray baseball pants (team decision)
- Each player is responsible for having plastic/molded baseball cleats
MANDATORY VOLUNTEER OPTIONS
- All parents are asked to choose a volunteer activity within registration OR Pay $100 opt-out fee per player
- Team Communication Manager - assist coach in team communication, tournament scheduling, roster verification for tournament hosts, tournament registration within host sites, insurance, assist coach in team needs
- Facility Crew - pick up after practices, help with equipment; As needed - cleaning bathrooms and common space, take trash out to dumpster when full, vacuum, organize lost and found
- EXISTING Board Member - let us know if you are interested in joining the board
- Tournament Sponsor ($750) - Individual or Business Sponsor -covers the cost of 1 tournament donated directly to your team (not league)
- Assistant Coach - verified with head coach
- Fundraising (Golf Tournament, Special Events, etc) - helping with team registration, collection of prizes/donations, event planning, onsite help, prize bags
